Disclosure

Data Sharing and Disclosure

It's important for you to understand how your information may be shared or disclosed when you use our services at Rank Authority.

Third-Party Disclosure Data may be shared with third-party partners who assist us in providing our services. These partners are bound by confidentiality agreements and are limited in how they can use your information. Data obtained from a Google account you have connected is excluded from this and is shared only with the infrastructure providers identified in Google User Data below.
Legal Obligations Third-party entities may also receive your information if we are legally obligated to do so or to comply with legal processes. We might be required to disclose your information in response to court orders, subpoenas, or other legal requests. We aim to protect your privacy but must comply with applicable laws and regulations when necessary.

Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Google Integrations

Google User Data

Rank Authority connects to your Google account only when you choose to link Google Search Console or Google Analytics from the Integrations page. This section explains what we access, why we access it, how long we retain it, and how you can disconnect an integration or revoke Rank Authority's access through your Google account. It applies in addition to the rest of this Privacy Policy.

What we access

We request only the permissions needed to provide the connected features. We never ask for your Google password. Google handles authentication, and you can review each requested permission before granting access.

  • Google Search Console, read-only: the Search Console properties you are verified on, including your site list, sitemaps, per-page search performance such as impressions, clicks and average position, and page indexing status.
  • Google Search Console, submit URLs for indexing: allows Rank Authority to ask Google to crawl or re-crawl pages on your site. This permission sends page addresses to Google and does not allow Rank Authority to modify your website or other Google account data.
  • Google Analytics, read-only: the Google Analytics 4 accounts and properties you can access, website addresses configured on their data streams, and aggregated reports such as sessions, users, engaged sessions, key events, traffic sources, channels and landing pages.
How we use it

We use Google user data only to provide the Rank Authority features used by you and teammates you authorize to access your project. We do not combine it with other customers' Google data to build products, advertising profiles or shared datasets.

  • Showing search performance and indexing progress in your dashboard.
  • Reporting how many pages Google has indexed and asking Google to crawl eligible pages that are not yet indexed.
  • Helping prioritize pages for content and technical recommendations.
  • Reporting where website visitors come from, including traffic referred by AI assistants.
What we store, and for how long

We store connection details while an integration remains connected so we can refresh reports without repeatedly asking you to sign in.

What we store How long we keep it
Connection details, including the access and refresh tokens Google issues, the connected Search Console or Analytics property, permission level and granted scopesStored while the applicable integration remains connected. When you disconnect Google Search Console or Google Analytics in Rank Authority, we immediately delete the stored credentials and connection details for that integration and stop using them. Disconnecting in Rank Authority does not revoke the Google account-level authorization; you can revoke that authorization separately through your Google account permissions.
Search Console page metrics, including totals per page, indexing status and daily site-level index coverage countsRetained as your project's reporting history while the project exists. This information is deleted when the project or account is deleted, or sooner upon a valid deletion request.
Your search termsNever stored. Search Console query data is used only to calculate aggregate information such as the number of distinct keywords for which a page ranks. The search-term text itself is not written to our database.
Google Analytics reportsNot permanently stored in our database. Reports are requested from Google when you use the applicable feature and may remain in a temporary server-side cache for up to 24 hours.
What we do not do with it

Rank Authority's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We never sell or trade it. We do not sell, rent or license Google user data or share it for advertising, marketing or purposes unrelated to providing Rank Authority.
  • We never use it for advertising. We do not use Google user data for advertising targeting or to create advertising profiles.
  • We never train AI models on it. We do not use Google user data to train or fine-tune artificial intelligence or machine-learning models, and we do not include it in requests sent to third-party AI providers.
  • Human access is limited. Rank Authority personnel access Google user data only when necessary to provide support you requested, investigate a security incident, maintain the service or comply with applicable law.
Who else can access it

Google user data is processed using Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the United States, including managed PostgreSQL database and Redis cache services. These service providers process the data only on our instructions and not for their own independent purposes. We do not transfer Google user data to another third party except where required by law.

How to disconnect, revoke access or delete your data

You remain in control of your Google connections and data:

  • Disconnect an integration in Rank Authority. Open Integrations and disconnect Google Search Console or Google Analytics. Rank Authority immediately deletes the stored credentials and connection details for that integration and stops using them. Disconnecting one integration does not disconnect the other.
  • Revoke Rank Authority through Google. To remove the Google account-level authorization, visit myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove Rank Authority. Google may apply this revocation to all Rank Authority integrations and projects connected through that Google account.
  • Delete previously retrieved data. Search Console reporting history is deleted when you delete the associated project or your account. To request earlier deletion, email support@rankauthority.com.
